About SBF

SBF is a member of the International Boxing Association AIBA and the European Boxing Confederation EUBC. SBF and every SBF member must observe and respect the AIBA Statutes, AIBA Bylaws, the Technical and Competition Rules issued by AIBA from time to time, the AIBA Code of Ethics, the AIBA Disciplinary Code, procedural rules, the rules of the World Anti-Doping Program, the AIBA Anti-Doping Code and other AIBA regulations.

SBF is also a member of the international federation World Boxing and its European confederation European Boxing.

Mission and tasks of SBF

The mission and tasks of SBF are in particular to:

• organise and ensure the development of grassroots, performance and elite boxing in the Slovak Republic, relying mainly on the activity of its members and of sports clubs and boxing sections as affiliated organisations,
• determine the structure of competitions in agreement with the clubs, compile sports calendars and organise national competitions and events,
• register boxers, keep records and statistics of the membership and records of the clubs,
• ensure the national team and international sports relations,
• organise and provide international and other major events in the Slovak Republic,
• provide training of experts,
• promote and popularise boxing
